Chance for UCR but ineligible??

Hey guys,

I was just wondering what my chances would be of getting into UC Riverside. I don't meet the 3.0GPA, but i was wondering if i would still have a chance. I'm a Senior this year.

Here what i have so far:

GPA: 2.54 (10-11) (i know its not so great, but only one aspect)
2.7~ (9-11) (for Cal Poly)
SAT: 1860; 700 Math, 590 Writing, 570 Reading
: 1880; 690 Math, 610 Writing, 580 Reading

SAT II: Math 2: 660
ACT: 28

by the way, i will be retaking math 2 and take a physics subject test

This Year I'm be taking
AP Stats

I've already taken (didn't do so well though)
AP World History - 1
AP United States History - 2
AP Physics B - 3

Varsity Tennis for 2 Years
Track and Field for 2 Years
Cross Country for 1 year

Taken Computer Science at my local CC and got an A
Taking Visual Basic there now

Community Service: I also have been serving at my church every other week since February.

In about 3 clubs. I also made one this year.

Ethnicity: African American

So what do you think?

Your GPA is too low. if it was borderline you might had a chance. You might want goto CC 1st to save many and have a better chance at all the UC's.

really?? my test scores don't even help?

still apply, i think you have a good chance

dang im nearly in the except same boat as you. i got a 1.0 gpa my sophomore year and 3.3 in my junior year which averages out to 2.3. my SAT is 1930.

You are going to need a 3.0 at least to even apply at UC's. You only are accepted on the very, very rare chance with something like a 2.9+. If you are sporting below 2.9 gpa, your chances are slim.
