Chance for UMich, Georgetown etc

<p>I'm junior and am trying to get a gauge as to where to apply next year. I'm hoping to go to UMich but my parents are hoping for an Ivy (a little out of my reach I think!) I'm looking to study something along the lines of international relations. I'd love some help on my chances at UMich, Georgetown, Notre Dame and the Ivies, thanks!</p>

<p>You have a great shot for UMich
Georgetown and Notre Dame are also matches
Ivies are reach
good luck

<p>UMich: Match
Georgetown: High match-low Reach
Notre Dame: ||</p>

<p>UMich- Match
Georgetown- Low Reach
Notre Dame- Reach
Ivies- High reach </p>

<p>Academically you are qualified for all of these schools, even the Ivys. But they’re still reaches. Also your ECs dont really stand out.</p>

<p>My thread (chance please): <a href=“Chances for Vanderbilt, UNC, NYU, UF, and Duke? - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke-p1.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>UMich - Match
Notre Dame - I am not familiar with the schools admissions
Georgetown - High Match
Ivies - Reach</p>

<p>Academics are solid, not great but definitely good
ECs need a little work
Maybe get scouted as an athlete? </p>

<p>I don’t think you’ll have any problems getting into UMich.
Notre Dame shouldn’t be too big of a stressor for you if you keep your GPA at a 3.9. Even if you don’t improve to a 35 on your ACT, just make sure your essays are solid and that you have great recc letters. Your extra curriculars are pretty freakin great, so don’t worry about those either but, if possible, get a couple more leadership positions so that you stand out to Ivy league admissions.
The only thing I noticed that you might want to think of changing is your course list for 12th grade. try to get more ap/honors classes in there.
chance me please!
