Chance for UPenn CAS ED

Sup, I plan on pursuing the PPE major UPenn offers for my pre-law degree. I'm a white male from rural Pennsylvania. My parents announced their separation a week before I started my freshman year, which severely impacted my grades. Then a close friend of mine killed herself when I was in 10th grade, which also impacted my grades for a bit. But I got through all of that and got a 4.0 junior year, which gave me an upward trend.

Recommendations: From the three best teachers I know.

So yea, I'm under the impression that my chances are 0.001%. Is that accurate?

Also, I forgot to mention (if it matters) that I go to a public high school that sends maybe 1-2 people to Ivy League every year. I only know of one person this year, and he got into Princeton for athletics…

Very low chances, nothing in your app stands out and your GPA and scores are subpar.

So you’re saying even if I got a 4.0 junior and senior year they wouldn’t care because of my first two years? And why would I take the ACT when I said I’m retaking the SATs. I don’t have the money for that…

^ Oh sorry I didn’t see that, anyway considering your circumstance it’s a tough call, however all the ivies do have a holistic process.

Yea, but I’m not going to explain the circumstances I said in the beginning because 1. I have no idea where to explain that and 2. I don’t want to turn those situations into a way to increase my college chances…

^ You can have your GC send a letter explaining your circumstance, honestly without this situation you have very low chances because of your low UW GPA and currently subpar SAT scores. Also there was no point of you mentioning your circumstances in your chance thread if you never planned on telling the colleges about them.
