Hooks (URM, first generation, recruited athlete, development): I have epilepsy? Talked about this in my common app essay.

Its an ivy… You cant really chance that.

If you were an admissions officer, would you accept me?

Honestly no because your AP scores are low and that tells the admissions office how prepared you are for college.

I totally disagree, although to be fair, OP did ask if Wizard would accept him, so it’s really just an opinion. My opinion is that AP scores will carry little weight in the admissions decision.

OP, your stats are strong; you’re competitive. However, any school with a sub-10% acceptance rate will be a crapshoot for almost everyone. You’ve submitted your application, so there is no point in stressing for the next month.

I hope you received some adult feedback on your essays. Epilepsy is not a hook, and an essay about it can cover the gamut of the “well-written” scale.

Your EC’s are pretty good but your tests scores are not stellar. I think that you do have a decent shot at an acceptance but right off the bat I can also see areas where they might reject you over… Good luck!
