Hey everyone, I was just wondering my chances of getting into USC/UCLA's Theater Program for acting if I haven't had much of prior experience to acting but I really want to declare it as a major in college. I'm currently a junior, how would you guys suggest I prepare? Thanks in advance.

UCLA and USC have some of the best theater programs in the nation and the world. I don’t know their specific acceptance rates and statistics, but I’m guessing that they are really hard to get into. I don’t want to discourage you , though, because even if you don’t have a lot of experience on paper, you still could be really talented. If that is the case, then I strongly recommend applying because I’m sure that you could get in if you have a strong enough audition!

To prepare, the only advice that I can give is to practice and get involved. If you join a community group or a school performance, then you can get valuable experience and activities to add to your resume to look more impressive to admissions officers!
