I recently just took my SATs again and after thinking I did awesome I was very upset at flatlining
My highest scores are:
(1990)
CR 640
Math 650
Writing: 700

SAT subject tests
US History: 770
Biology: 680
Chemistry: 670

16 out of 456 (top 3.5%)
Very hard classes, many APs Us history (5), currently in Ap Government and politics, Envi Scie, Chemistry.
I feel like my scores in math and reading killed me and ive taken it too many times so it is now unchangeable.

Give me a range - Georgetown (my number 1, I doubt it, doesn't look at writing), Wake forest, Boston College, UNC-Chapel Hll (out of state)
applying Biology or undecided depending on school

I think Georgetown is a bit of a reach for you, but it’s hard to tell how much without your GPA. However, if you have good grades and write good essays, etc., then you still might have a chance. If it really is your top choice, then I think you should go ahead and apply. Your test scores are in the middle 50% at both Wake Forest and Boston College, so they shouldn’t hurt you there. Your scores are also in range at UNC-Chapel Hill, but they are extremely biased towards in state residents, and I’m not sure how you compare to other out of staters. Hope this helped. Good luck!

Having high AP scores will definitely help you a lot. Do the best you can on the tests because it shows schools you can handle college level work. Your scores are low but not unheard of, and your class rank is great. See if you can find out where some students from your school with similar stats have gone in the last few years and choose your Early Decision app carefully. It can really make a big difference. Taking the ACT is also a good suggestion, if you’re planning to go into a science the more analytical sections might go better for you.
