hi I’m a junior and want to apply ED to Cornell next year to the human ecology college with a major in human devolpmemt. female from Illinois(will this hurt me since HUMEC is a contract college?) 3.99uw gpa act:30 ECs: varsity soccer & cross country, student government, key club, mathleetes, and volunteer at hospital
I know college of human ecology is a lot about fit so do you think if I write about my volunteering at the hospital in my essay it will help show a good fit?

Make sure your essays are VERY specific to Cornell and your experiences leading to why you like and want to study human development and more importantly why you want to study it at cornell. Talking about volunteering is a bit cliche but it end up a very nice and powerful essay if you write it correctly. Best advice I can give is to show fit and be unique because this year there are a lot of human development majors. Human ecology is getting more popular and you need to stand out. Good luck
