Human Ecology transfer

Hello all. I am currently a sophomore in college and I am preparing my transfer application to Human Ecology. We just got our fall semester grades back and I did horrible! However, I know that I am the perfect fit for human ecology and the main reason that I did so poorly in school is because I dedicated so much of myself to my other non-profit organizations. I don't mean to sound conceited, but I know my essays are stellar and my extra-curriculars are fantastic as well. I am just wondering if having a 3.3 gpa and a couple of dropped classes on my transcript are going to overshadow how well I would fit into the program. Any advice? Have any of you ben accepted into HumEc with less than stellar grades, but fantastic essays and extras? Thanks a lot.
