Im a junior and my number one school is UCSB. My Freshman and Sophomore years on HS were very bad, I was at a very bad high school and finished with an over all weighted gpa of a 2.8.... Now, after transferring I have a 3.7 and hopefully will finish this year with a 4.3... Also I am a very competitive baseball player and I am lost wondering if UCSB should still even be a thought. I do a lot of community service have my own business and do other things but I dont know if theres any hope. Any thoughts that would make me feel any better?

Keep trying. Anything is possible.

The UC’s do not look at freshman grades when calculating your UC GPA. This helps those with underwhelming freshman grades. Keep working hard this year and take challenging classes. A strong upward grade trend is always a good thing.

Take both the SAT and ACT. High test scores will help you in your goal. If you need to take them a couple of times, do so.
