not to mention i got some mean ppl commenting during critical app time...
so just lookin for some other outlook :\

commonapp- how i make my own comfort zones and can feel at home anywhere, related to an incident with application for private high school…i feel like this might hurt me (like oh she said she’d be happy anywhere…we can reject her) but i couldn’t make it sound slanted you know? really animated, starts with a cute little anecdote
communities- a little humorous “world peace”, talked about dzine2show at wharton and kappa alpha theta community and its philanthropy and how i have a personal tie to the philanthropic society…</p>

<p>recs- 2 teachers i know very well, very good recs
guidance c’s fav student in school (i should wash my face for the amount of brown on my nose)
um am i missing anything</p>

and I’m the first in my family to go to college here in the states too… Tho my parents both got MDs from Univ. of Philippines, so I’m not sure how much that helps me =|</p>

<p>Valedictorian = always good
GPA = pretty good, slightly above average mebbe.<br>
IB = a nice lil boost (same here xD)</p>

<p>ECs- mind.blown. Excellent mix of leadership and arts and athletics.<br>
only possible flaw = I can’t see nything that really screams business out to the Wharton people. </p>

<p>lol - I also am captain of my academic quiz bowl team…
and leader of my schools’ filipino dance troupe…
in fact… this is sorta starting to give me goosebumps how similar parts of our resume’s are… </p>

<p>Do you have any idea of how your essays/recommendations are?</p>

<p>But from this alone… I’d say the only thing holding you back is somewhat is any marked interest in business… unless they count leadership as business potential, which you definitely have. This is the sort of application that gives me doubts of whether I have a shot at getting in or not…</p>

<p>I hope/guess that you’ll get in. Hopefully we both will ;)</p>

<p>ahhahhaa no no no i read your chance me and it made ME second guess myself!! and thus this post comes up hahaha omg how awesome would it be if we both made it?? then we’d have a boy and girl version of the same person practically lol
but yeah i’m one of those late bloomers…i couldn’t decide what i wanted to be because i felt like i had too broad of interests and since its not like i really really excelled in one particular area and i was pretty decent in all of them it made it all the while harder until i realized that the one thing i really liked to do was to lead and make a difference and i figured business would be the best output of that (bc i can’t handle blood or vomit so i can’t be a doctor) lmao ahhh pray for me!</p>

<p>and my parents both went to UP also!!!
my dad got a Doctorate in veterinary medicine and mom a bachelors in economics (looks like im going my mothers route lol…if i’m that blessed)</p>

<p>Lol - for the longest time I thot I’d be a doctor like my parents… then I changed gears to Engineering… and then business… So I went banzai on those ECs in high school… helped that I’m not much of a fine arts/athletics person I guess.</p>
