(Chance Me) 2018 UNC Fall Transfer

Hello, I’m a Freshman at Fordham University in New York. I got here about a month ago and realize that this school is not really my style at all. I want to go to a school that has more services for the students, good education, and a big sports program. I messed up when I was deciding my colleges, I didn’t look into all of my options and just settled with Fordham because I got a good scholarship. I know I can do so much better if I just apply myself unlike I did in highschool. My test scores are very good but my high school gpa is lackluster, hopefully my college gpa will help with that. My dream school to transfer to right now is UNC. Here is what I expect my application to look like at the end of the semester, let me know if I have a chance! BTW I’m OOS, but idk if that matters as much with transfer students

High School GPA: 3.4W
College GPA: 3.85
ACT: 34
SAT:2050
EC: 3 Clubs, Young Life(Large religious program outside of school), 100+ volunteer hours in high school, intramueral softball
Major: Biology (Pre-Med)
Letter of Recommendation: Hopefully Chem Professor?
Currently in the Pre-Med program at Fordham and taking 18 credits this semester. I’m taking Bio and Chem along with two other courses so my workload is not easy and hopefully that will be clear to the admissions officers. Also, I will be spending a lot of time focusing on my essay so it should turn out very well.

Hey! I applied to UNC last year with a 4.0 college GPA and 32 credit hours. I had a decent amount of volunteering but my HS GPA wasnt too good 3.2 UNW and 4.45 W. SAT was 1300/1600 and had a lot of student organizations. I was wait listed and then rejected. I called them and they said that they needed to see more than 1-2 sem of work. So I would wait until you have two years completed. Dont let this bum you out, enjoy your freshman year while you can because it only gets harder, esp. for us pre meds
