My GPA seems average to me, but that may just be me being hard on myself. My family has a history of attending prestigious colleges (Yale, MIT, Stanford), so I feel I need to live up. do you all think this is possible? Sorry for making another one of these ;[

You are a junior, there is no point in chancing you, A LOT can happen between now and next fall…and with you stats , at those schools, it’s a crap shoot. You go to a prestigious private prep school, surely they gave a GC who is better equipped to answer you then some random strangers on the internet. Good Luck.

Your stats are fantastic. Don’t get a B this year and get As first semester senior year. Your GPA is still very high. Your ECs, I think, need focusing. It seems as though you are good at English and writing since you have an 800 on the Lit subject test, you are a writing tutor, and you’ve written for a newspaper. If you are thinking about applying as an English major, I suggest developing a “spike” in your ECs relating to English. If not English, figure out what you like. Having a “spike” in your ECs should help demonstrate to admissions officers that you are both skilled and passionate about a certain subject matter
