Chance me?American studying abroad w/ some "weird" ECs...

SAT: CR 580 WR 650(8) M 710 = 1940
*That's my best score, my scores went from 1690 to 1940 on my 3rd try, and I don't think I'm going to take them again....
SAT2: Taking MATH 1 & LIT next month
GPA: 90/100 (Maybe more)
Class Rank: top 10 in my grade, which is top 5% or so.

ECs:
Moderator of Sina Astrology (Sina is kind of like the Chinese version of Yahoo, it's a search engine that has pretty much everything )
My writing for astrology has made the front page of Sina many times too (Does this count?)
Taekwondo
Numerous awards from all kinds of English Competitions, some from my district Beijing, and 1 from the country(Uhhh, same question, does this count?)
Teacher's Aid
Student Council

Extra Info:
I was born in NY, and my father moved me back to China when I was in 5th grade.
I have been here for 7 years or so.
He wanted me to learn the language (which I have perfected) and the culture.
My family doesn't have a huge income because my mother was diagnosed w/ A.L.S. when I was around 3 or 4.
And when we were in the states my father's annual income was around 20K.
So FA is really important....
But my father says if it's a really good college w/out FA we'll manage somehow....

Colleges I'm looking at:
Stanford (One can dream right?)
Brown (One of my faves so far)
Cornell
Duke
Wellesley
Boston College
U Penn

These are pretty much my dream colleges, I'm just wondering if I stand a chance...
I'm thinking that my application would probably stand out, but my SAT's aren't so great...

Chance me please?

Anyone?
I wonder if I scared everyone away xD

Your SAT is very low for the Ivies, you’re Asian (sorry), your EC’s don’t seem super strong (but definitely do include the awards, probably the strongest part of your app), and I don’t know how to convert your GPA to 4.0 so I’ll disregard that.

Stanford and Brown you have no chance. Were I you, I would not apply, no matter how much I wanted to go there, just because it’d be a waste of time + money. Cornell, Penn, and Duke are almost at that level, but you can apply if you really want to, although I wouldn’t be optimistic at all. Don’t know about the other two.
