Chance me and 2 best friends please! Texas State Univ- San Marcos

Ok, so my 2 best friends and I have all applied to Texas State University-San Marco's and are wanting to attend the McCoy College of Business (IT for myself and Accounting for the other 2). The only thing is, we arent sure if our GPA's will cut it to make it into the college. We have all attended junior college for 2 years and have gotten many credits stacked up:
Me - 60 credits
Friend 1 - 55 credits
Friend 2 - 30+ credits (unsure of number)

Now, we figured that with the amount of credits we have we wouldnt have too much of a problem getting into TX State (the amount for transfer students is a 2.25 GPA, which we all have) but for McCoy it is a 3.0.
Our GPA's (estimated):
Me - 2.96
Friend 1 - 2.7
Friend 2 - Unknown, hopefully more than 2.5

I know our GPA's arent the best (we have all had trouble keeping school our top priority and now it's biting us in the butt) but hopefully we can all get in because this is what we want 100% and are all biting our nails and stressing out.

Thank you very much for your help and "chancing" us!

anyone? im really stressing! Thank you!

I am keeping a positive attitude and really hoping everything works out

I think McCoy does a competitive review for people who don’t meet the 3.0 GPA Requirement. They will probably look at your credits/grades and compare it to other applicants who are also below 3.0. I think your grades in English Composition 1, 2, and Calculus count the most because they are the required for admittance. However, you and your friends’ GPAs are just fine for acceptance into Texas State. Worst case scenario…in order to get into McCoy, you might have to take a few blow-off courses to get your GPA up a little bit.

I’m also waiting on whether or not I’ll be accepted. My application has said “complete and ready for review” for at least three weeks now. :(

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Thats a good idea, that if we do get accepted (Which like u said, i dont see why not) we will just need to take a couple of whatever classes to boost the GPA.
My application says: “Incomplete items outstanding” but i think its because my college transcript hasnt arrived yet.

Anyone else?
