How would I fare as an Honors College student?

Also, how early would I find out my admission decision?

I’d say you’re in. Your stats look a lot like mine when I was admitted almost 4 years ago. Unless they’ve changed requirements, I think your UW is a little low for Honors College admittance. If you’re not invited, maintain a 3.8 in your first semester and you can reapply to the Honors College program. If you can get it, take it. From the looks of your course load and activities, its clear that you are up for an academic challenge and enjoy a rigorous schedule. The program is FULL of advantages, from early registration to small seminar style classes with lots of professor/student face time. (Believe me here, its MUCH easier to get a good grade/learn something when you can interact with your professor one on one as opposed to being a face in the lecture crowd!)

If you cant get in, look at honors in the major. You wont enjoy the perks of the HC, but you will get faculty face to face when you pick an adviser for your thesis. Plus, on your resume, graduating from the HC and graduating with honors in the major will both look equally as distinctive.

Of course! I love my school! I love it so much that I’m staying for grad school, haha! When I discovered this page, I thought I might be of some service, so anyone with questions, send 'em my way.
