Chance me and a few questions?

I’m a student in the US but applied through OUAC 105D since I have Canadian permanent residency status.

I applied for CS at St. George with the following:
GPA: 3.6UW/4W
ACT 34, SAT 1510
Subject Tests: Math 2 800, Physics 740
Classes:
Junior Year: AP Calc AB (85% avg), AP US History (87% avg), Honors Physics (89% avg), Computer Arts (100% avg), AP Computer Science A(100% avg), English 11 (95% avg)
Senior Year: AP Calc BC (95% avg), AP US Gov (93%avg), AP Physics C:Mech (92% avg), AP Microeconomics (88%), AP Macroeconomics(88%), English 12 (90%avg)

Please chance me for CS.

I applied for CS as well as Computer Engineering (CpE). My join.utoronto.ca portal shows that my CS application went under review but my CpE application still just says application submitted. The engineering portal status just says that “We have received your online Student Profile. If you have submitted all required documents, your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Office in the coming weeks. Please check your portal for updates regularly.” The documents list below says I still need to upload my ACT scores even though I’ve already done that. Does this mean my CpE application isn’t complete or what?

Also has the March/April wave already occurred? I asked the school if they would be able to provide me an admission status this month and they said they’d do everything they can to try to ensure that I get a decision by May 1st but it’s not a guarantee.

I don’t see chemistry in your course list. That would disqualify you from engineering. Your GPA is low for both engineering and CS. I don’t think you’ll be admitted to either.

Have you applied to other schools in Canada? I am concerned that computer science and engineering are harder to get into than most majors, and your unweighted GPA might be marginal for CS at Toronto. Your SAT is great.

Since you are a Canadian permanent resident you would pay Canadian tuition rates, which would be very economical compared to US schools. There are many very good universities in Canada that are easier to get into than Toronto. Whether any of them are still accepting applications for the fall I do not know.

In our experience Canadian schools seem to accept students who are way above the cutoff more quickly than other students.

I applied to Canadian schools late into the process so I was only able to apply to Toronto and Waterloo
