UofT compsci chances

I’ve applied mostly to US schools, so the OUAC seems really weird to me… do they really just look at your grades to decide if you get in? I’ve heard CS is by far the hardest, but could anyone give me an idea of what my chances are if I had a 96 average last year? (100% in compsci and functions, 99% in advanced functions) Thanks!!

Yes, they really just look at your grades for comp sci. Are you an Ontario student? If your marks are similar this year, your chances look good. The most important marks are calculus and English.

I think you will probably get in.

Aye I just got in! Thanks guys

Hey I got in too. My major concern is that it’s going to be really hard to actually get our major 2nd year. Can anyone comment on that?

@Derek17 congrats!! I have no idea, but apparently they do try and weed people out first year - you could probably try somehow contacting someone in CS right now and asking them?

It seems like it won’t be to hard for us comp sci pre-majors as a lot of what happens is that people that aren’t precomp apply and get rejected because they had to peruse a different premajor at the same time. Just out of curiosity what college are you in?

Oh yeah, that’s a good point.
I’m University College but I think I’m gonna end up at a school in the states anyways. Which one are you?
