<p>I'm looking to major in political science with a possible double major or minor in English. </p>

Race: Caucasian</p>
<p>Grades: My school doesn't have grades that are convertible to a GPA, but my unweighted average is 96.5 and weighted is about 100. My class rank is 12 out of 292.</p>

<p>Classes:
I've taken the highest level of classes I can take for everything. I have taken/will take all the APs available at my school (expect Computer Science). They are: AP US History, AP Psych, AP English Lit, AP Calc</p>
<p>Additionally, I took Intro to Political Science spring semester of my junior year at my local state college and got an A, and am currently taking an Intro to Philosophy class as well as a 200 level Political Theory class that is comprised of mostly junior and seniors in college who are political science majors.</p>
<p>I took a creative writing intensive (Juniper Institute) at UMass Amherst the summer before my junior year, and received an A with college credit.</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:

-4 years doing stuff with a non profit local youth writing organization, was chosen out of over 1000 students to co-write a picture book they got professionally illustrated, that is due to be published this fall
-3 years Relay for Life team (sophomore-senior year)
-2 years interning for a book advertising firm, (summer before junior year/summer before senior year), included being paid to run a Middle Eastern Partnership Initiative program
-2 years Model UN (freshman+sophomore year, then it was cut)

<p>Does my list look balanced enough? I'm especially concerned with my chances for Columbia and Barnard.</p>
