chance me and i sincerely promise to chance you back :)

Before anyone accuses me of trolling I just want to say that I'm really not trying to show off. I think I have the stats to get into some good schools but want to know whether its worth it to apply to really competitive (i.e NU HPME and HYPS) next year. I'd be content getting into/ going to Hopkins or NU RD as well. Basically just let me know if its worth it to apply to the aforementioned schools.

This summer I'm planning on researching through the NIH SIP. I'm not completely sure if I'll be doing that, but hopefully I'll be getting some kind fo research experience this summer. I'm also considering using whatever research I do this summer as the basis for a project I'll send to the Seimans competition, but I'm not sure considering the award is so competative.

Tests:
So far I've only taken one

ACT - 34
35 English
32 Math
36 Reading
34 Science
10 Writing

Basically, I'm not totally worried academically, but all applicants to competitive schools are extremely qualified. I've heard that these schools look for something special in their applicants and I'm not sure if my ECs are original enough, etc.

Any advice in general you have would be appreciated. There are so many qualified people here on CC that it gets intimidating, but its nice that most people are genuninely willing to help. Respond and I'll definately chance you, try to answer your questions, etc.

:)

That research project is like the icing on the cake.

If you do well on the subject tests (770-800) you’re basically guaranteed in.

I think you are extremely strong- your GPA and ACTs are fantastic, and you have research and everything. Definitely apply in that range.

would you mind chancing a really far off shot? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/688995-hmmm.html</a></p>

I think you are definitely good to go. Do that research project. Also please chance me!

Your course load is really good and I think your ECs are quite good, especially if you can get that research project done well. I don’t really know much about the ACT, but that seems a really good score from what I know. So you’re clearly qualified enough for some of the top schools and I think it’d be well worth applying. There’s really no one who is good enough to be assured a spot there, but you’re definitely competitive for them.

If you have the time I’d appreciate your opinions for me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/689390-match-me.html</a></p>
