Hello! :)

I'm an African American female senior at a small performing arts school in Detroit, MI. The average ACT score was 17 and I got a 24 in March :/ , but retaking it in September and October. Hopefully I'll reach 28/29. I know I can break 30, but I'm a terrible tester.

I have a 3.5 UW GPA. There is only one AP course available. I will be taking it this year (we fought hard to get it approved!)

Lots of extra curricular activities including: Student tutor, student council, captain of girl's varsity volleyball, president of 4H, multicultural, and art club (considering painting as a talent and sending schools my portfolio), 300 hours of community service, 2 jobs, minor club memberships and NHS

Expecting good recommendations and passionate essays.

I already have my matches, safeties, and a financial safety... But I'm not sure where else to apply because all of my reaches seem unreasonable. Where should I take my chances considering a 28 composite and early action?

University of Virginia
University of Rochester
Tulane University
George Washington University
University of Maryland
Case Western Reserve University
University of Richmond
Carnegie Mellon University
Wake Forest University

-I'm definitely applying to the University of Michigan (in-state), should I consider that a match or reach?

-And I'm open to school recommendations. At least 3,000 students and in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast
