SAT 2: will give in October

Some debates, article writings as well.

I'll need nearly FULL AID, btw

Colleges:
Dartmouth
Princeton
Williams
Middlebury
Providence College
Fordham
Purdue
Indiana
Georgetown
Umin, twin cities
UT Dallas
Wooster

You can remove Purdue, Indiana and U Minn from your list. No aid there. Not sure about UT Dallas, but I think a friend of mine is going there on a full scholarship. Again, not sure.

Wooster gives good aid, and seems to be a safety/match for you. They’ll probably give you aid too (though not full).
Fordham and Providence (which is girls only, ew.) do not mention whether they provide aid to internationals, but they seem like matches too.

That leaves Dartmouth, Princeton, Williams, Middlebury and Georgetown. All will give you your full aid, though at Williams, Middlebury and Georgetown, the aid you require will affect your chances of admission. Your SAT score is weak, and these colleges will be high reaches for you.

Hey! Thanks
Btw. Fordham and Providence aint girls only! Lol
And Uminn? One of my cousins went for a post grad there on full scholarship, I believe.
I wanted to keep Purdue and Indiana as safety actually, but no point.
Can you suggest me some colleges on the basis of my profile and financial requirements!

Also a friend of mine(male :P) got full aid at Providence and 90% at Fordham, so I was thinking if it is a good choice to apply there.
Also, I read that Williams and Middlebury are now need blind for international kids as well. So does that mean it will still affect my admission prospects?

Thing about Princeton and Dartmouth is, if you get admitted, you only pay how much you can afford. Same with MIT and Harvard.

I think Williams and Middlebury were need-blind last year, their policy might have changed this year. As I mentioned before, you should try the College Search and Selection forum for more accurate answers.

Ok, have you considered WVU? It’s just a thought but my friend from India is coming over to do her masters in mechanical engineering. She has had her tuition waived and she’s getting paid for an assistantship. It’s not that prestigious but there is a decent Indian population + a supportive Indian student association. Just a thought…

Hey guys. Thanks a lot.
Blue_box : Yeah, I’m aware. Wooster a safety? Really? I thought about Hamilton too. Maybe, I might get in there. They give good aid to internationals, from what I’ve heard.
Also about the book, its still underway. And publishing? Thats NOT happening until I have a lot of money. I dont even have a publisher right now!
ansrox: 300 is going to be tough. I got 1820 the first time and this was my second attempt. I’m still contemplating whether to give a third in November or not. Hopefully my SAT 2 will be good as we’ve already covered most of the testing material in school.
wvcollegecrazy: No I havent come across it. I’m still researching colleges which aint my cup of tea anyway. I’ll go through it. But I believe that you definitely get waay more aid for your masters as compared for grad.
