I am a NJ resident currently attending CC. I am approaching my fourth semester and will have completed 73 credits WITHOUT an Associates Degree and will hopefully have a 3.9 GPA at the time of transfer.
I want to apply to Rutgers NB Business School and anxiety has been killing me. What are my chances? I have seen so many transfers accepted for less and others rejected it really kills. Thanks for any consideration or feedback.
@suthamerica The reason I will not be getting my associates degree is because I needed to take classes that Rutgers requires for the business school as well as classes for my associates degree. The problem is, Rutgers will only accept 60 or 65 transfer credits so any extra credits won’t transfer.
In order to get my Associates Degree, I need two more classes and I will once again have to load up on another 20 credit semester with six classes. I simply cannot jeopardize my GPA, since last semester I took 20 credits and six classes and it was a heavy workload along with extra-curriculars and working 20+ hours a week.
I would rather have 60+ transferable credits with a 3.9 GPA with hair on my head, then having an Associates Degree with the potential of devastating my GPA to a highly competitive school.
