Chance me at Carleton, Macalester?

I'm just you know, nervous over here! What I'm mostly concerned about is my EC's; my stats I'm pretty happy with for the most part.
So here goes:

Female, Hispanic, from Texas
I go to a middle-class/low-income public school.

2180 SAT
3.97 unweighted GPA
Rank is currently 10/772
AP tests: World History (4), English Lang./Comp. (4), US History (5)
National Hispanic Scholar
National Merit Commended

Senior classes include: AP English, AP US Govt., AP Psychology, and Calculus AB AP

ECs (what worry me!)
Orchestra, all 4 years, President this year and Historian last, several awards
National Honor Society
Member of the marching band (I did visuals- like the dance component) in 11th grade
Varsity Tennis, grades 9-11
Fast food job from summer into the school year
UIL Literary Criticism in 10th grade, award at district meet and went to regionals.
Played in the orchestra of a city production.

and...that's kind of it...aside from some hobbies that just yeah.
I feel like my recommendations should be fine, and I was happy with my essays. I did not apply ED to any schools. Oh and I want to major in Linguistics (!).

I just feel like my ECs aren't very impressive..! Thank you anyone for taking the time to look over this :')

you definitely have really good stats, and i don’t feel that your ECs are that bad, just not your strong point. You have a good chance at getting in really good schools, so yeah i feel that you will likely get in to macalester and carleton

Your EC’s are only unimpressive when compared with the average collegeconfidential poster. I would say you would have an excellent chance of getting into either of these schools (especially Macalester) even if you were not an under-represented minority. My only advice would be to make sure you actually want to go there–Minnesota is a lot colder than Texas!
