Chance me at Colgate?

According to the Prep Scholar tool, I have a 99.7% chance of being accepted to Colgate based on my SAT and GPA.
Obviously, I doubt its accuracy :))
Here’s what I’ve got.
Biracial (White/Asian) Female

SAT: 1460 (one sitting), retook and waiting on new scores
GPA: 3.87 UW 4.189 W
Rank: 17 out of 438 (School doesn’t officially report it, but we can get it from our counselors if we want it)

EC’s
President of Theatre Club
Officer and Committee Chair of Student Council
Manager of Boys Tennis Team
Accepted into Study Abroad Program at my school
Hostess at a Country Club (~30 hours a week)
Busser at a Diner (~8 hours a week)

Awards
National Merit Commended
AP Scholar with Distinction
French Honor Society
National Honor Society
Distinguished Honor Roll

Nothing really impressive, so I’m curious as to if my chances of acceptance are actually that high. I know my scores and GPA are higher than average, but they aren’t THAT much higher, so I’d just like a second opinion.

I also got 5s on my Calc AB, APUSH, and AP Lang exams, and 4s on Chemistry and Euro, and this year I’m taking AP Physics, Calc BC, AP Lit, AP French, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Comp Sci.

I think you’re pretty much a shoe-in. Congrats on your great stats!

The numbers aren’t totally determinative because Colgate gets way more apps than open seats (it does a decent amount of athletic recruiting.) Geography and the short answer essays are important.

99.7%?

“Shoe-in”?

This is nonsense and it started with a ridiculous premise- that some pay-for-play system represents the realities of a year in an admissions office.

Anyway, you should see through this approach, give your application your best shot, and look forward to the results- from Colgate and the other colleges to which you apply.

Best of luck!

Go 'gate!
