My school makes all sophomores take the PSAT as a practice...I got a lousy 196, but I will be taking it for real next year.

I am currently enrolled in all Pre-IB (honors) classes...next year I will be taking all IB classes and strive to receive the IB Diploma.

Be honest and brutal! Thanks! :)

It is difficult to say since you don’t have a serious ACT or SAT score (only your PSAT score which can be reflected of your SAT score, but it isn’t an SAT score set in stone). With a 196 on the PSAT (which isn’t that lousy …), you would be struggling a bit with those schools, but it is possible if you bring up your EC’s and seriously take IB (because it is a very difficult program …)

It’s hard to chance at this point. Try again when you are a junior.

My brutally honest input: get off CC. Have fun. You’re a sophomore. Don’t worry about colleges for at least another year. All of this looks really strong, so don’t fill your time feeling anxious or seeking negative input.

just keep up the hard work, and I’m sure things will work out.

As long as your test scores are there, i think you have a good shot at both

Thanks for the help.

You’re looking good so far.
Just keep your grades up, stick with your EC’s, and come back next year when you have your SAT scores in. Frankly, your freshman year grades aren’t nearly as important as other things (like your JUNIOR year grades). Just keep on doing what your doing, and don’t worry too much about college for the rest of this year at least. Good luck :)
