General Comments: I attended high school in a Brazilian school where they don’t offer AP/IB/Honors classes, do not report GPA (I calculated mine through online GPA calculators), and don’t offer EC activities. My essays and LORs are really good.

Your SAT and GPA is a bit low for these top, Ivy League-caliber institutions. Your ECs/awards are decent, but don’t offer anything too special especially for an overrepresented intended major like econ.

Are you applying from the high school that you currently attend in Brazil? If so, you’ll be considered international, which makes it even harder.

@anonpenn2022 Yeah I’m applying from a Brazilian hs, but I’m a US Citizen and cannot be considered an international student from what I’ve heard from adcoms. Thanks for your input though

I surely cannot speak with authority as to how your application will read, with you applying from a Brazilian high school. However, at a glance, it seems that your GPA and test scores below the competitive ranges for Boston College, Dartmouth, and Harvard. Your reaches are likely Tulane and Emory. You have a good shot at getting into Richmond and UMass. Good luck!
