THERE ARE NO AP CLASSES IN BRAZIL. However, students here have to take ALL CLASSES.

Recommenders: I have three VERY enthusiastic letters from people from my school, who worked closely with me. All of the letters range from 500 to 600 words (I read them).

My essays are about my perception of the riots that occurred in Brazil last June and about the 6 months that I spent on a Hospital bed due to an accident (and how it shaped me).

NOTE: Last Year, 3 of the 5 Brazilians who were admitted by Harvard had scores lower than mine, and one had a 2100.

At Penn, 2 Brazilian, non-athletes, non-legacies were admitted with high 1700’s

please, guys, i am freakinnng

Just going off your statistics for Brazilians, that’s a pretty low sampling pool. It’s hard to draw conclusions off of 5 people.

I think…

Penn: Reach, maybe a little bit of a better chance since you’re Brazilian
NYU: Low match if you don’t need any financial aid (if you do, high match-low reach)
Cornell: Low reach - Mid reach
CMU: low reach
Notre Dame: low reach
Duke: Low reach - Mid reach

Good luck!

I would say it is a 3.83 of 4, but it is not official (they will figure it out by my transcript, though).

And again, my school is VERY difficult (I have 14 classes per quarter, no extra-credit)

anyone else (please)?

Nobody here is familiar enough with the way these colleges view Brazilians to reasonably chance you. From what you’ve said, you obviously believe that you guys are held to a separate standard, nobody here knows how that works.

If you were from the U.S, with a 2090 , 3.83UW and your ECs, I would say:
Wharton - High reach
Cornell - Mid reach
NYU - High match
Carnegie Mellon - High Match/ low reach
Notre Dame - high match / low reach
Duke - mid reach
