• President of the Cinema Club in my school for 3 years. In this club, I ran a project that introduces some of the classics to kids and teenagers.
• Organized a protest against corruption in Brazil. It attracted thousands of people and reverberated in national newspapers
• Organized a skateboarding contest in my school
• Organized a soccer championship in my school
• Organized a few parties</p>

<p>Merits:
• Semifinalist in college level History Olympiads in 2009
• Regional semifinalist in Geography Olympiads in 2009
• Regional semifinalist in Geography Olympiads in 2010</p>

<p>Recommenders: I have three VERY enthusiastic letters from people from my school and one from the former governor of my state.</p>

<p>My essays are about my perception of the riots that occurred in Brazil last June and about the 6 months that I spent on a Hospital bed due to an accident (and how it shaped me).</p>

<p>PS: Bear in mind that the ONLY merits avaliable in Brazil are SCIENCE OLYMPIADS and that there are NO AP CLASSES HERE (though everyone must take every classes).</p>

<p>You are competitive at all schools listed, but the only thing that stands out in your application is the organized protest. It sounds like your essays and letters of rec will be very strong, which may set you apart. I would say all schools on your list are reaches, maybe a few are low reaches, but you have a shot. I hope you aren’t applying to all schools you listed, because that would be terrible. I hope it all works out for you! Good luck!</p>

<p>Why would it be bad to apply to all these schools?</p>

<p>Think twice about computer science, it is an ocean and no more one subject. Entire world is crazy about it and it is not even specific for anything.</p>

<p>If you want to apply to all the schools, you pretty much have to start writing apps now, because it’s exhausting. I originally planned to apply to like 12 schools, slashed the number to 8, and then turned in maybe apps to 4 schools because I was just too tired to do it.</p>

<p>So it looks like you are stretching your ECs out way too much. Also any GPA below a 3.9 immediately becomes less competitive. YOur subject scores are not too bad. Could be better. Other than that, due to your nationality, I believe you will be fairly competitive but a little under 50% of the applicants.</p>

<p>Here in Brazil, everyone has to take every class. For that reason, I heared they care about ranks much more than GPAs.</p>

<p>But still, thanks for your feedback! I am considering retaking the subjects and the SAT.</p>

<p>Are you aware that if you apply Early Action to Harvard you may not apply early anywhere else?</p>
