So, my chances? And any idea about merit aid?

Good overall. SAT is a bit low and you don’t have any varsity sports, but I think you have a strong chance to get accepted, but low chance for merit aid unless you bring up your scores.

Thanks! I forgot to add that I’m in the top 5% of my class.

My final SAT score is a 1950. (600 reading, 660 math, 690 writing)

Change anything?
Merit?

I got merit aid with a 1980 and a 3.8 UW gpa so I think you have a chance for aid! Just try to get strait As senior year I think that’s what helped me. Good luck!

You should retake the SAT. There is no risk, since they take the highest score anyway. If your score goes down, they will still accept the 1950.

Thanks for the suggestion but I’ve already taken them a couple times.

Have you taken the ACT? Because of the different testing style, many do better on the ACT vs the SAT. My student took them a week apart and scored 9 percentiles higher on the ACT.

I haven’t, I didn’t know much about them. I don’t think I would want to take them in the fall though because given the amount of time needed to score them, I will have to send my scores sight unseen to many of my places in order to meet the deadlines for honors programs or early action dates. :/
