Could anyone chance me?

Applying to CAS for Computer Science. Female, Asian, middle class income (60k), from the top county in the nation.

ACT: 32
GPA UW: 3.67
GPA W: 4.29

EC’s: President and founder of Culture Club, head of fundraising for Student Council, member of executive board for NHS, head editor for News Team, JV lacrosse, captain of Freshman volleyball, etc.
I don’t remember what my other positions were. Overall, my EC’s were fairly good. I’m only disappointed that Common App only allowed me to put 10 activities.

Class rank: 30/302 - top 10%

My sister also graduated from NYU in 2015, so I have some legacy.

I’m hoping that me being a woman will give me a bit of leverage in applying to Comp Sci. I was accepted into the UMD Computer Science program, which is the top 15 program in the nation whereas NYU is ranked around 30. I’m not sure whether this is relevant or not, but thanks in advance!

ACT score is great for CAS. GPA is a little low, but not too far away from the 3.7 average uw GPA in CAS. Your ACT score along with your extracurriculars will probably make up for it, plus you have legacy. I’m applying to Tandon this year and we basically have the same stats, but Tandon is a bit easier to get into. I would say NYU is a match. Good Luck!!!
