Chance me at schools( 1st time)

Your stats are fantastic, and so are your ECs!

Stanford (probably EA): Reach
U of Chicago: Match
Brown (either PLME or RD): High Reach for PLME, Reach for RD
UC LA, Berkeley, SD: In
UVA: In
Georgetown (School of Nursing): High Match/Low Reach
UPenn: Low Reach
Duke: Low Reach

thanks dude,

musante, great going. your passion for the stage comes through and I am sure that will reflect as a unique positive on your essay.

Stanford – 75%
U of Chicago – 50-50
Brown – 75%
UPenn – 50-50
Duke – 50-50

I cannot comment on the other programs as I do no know enough about them.

The SAT 2’s look great. However, you should try (if possible) to gt your SAT 1 scores in the 1300’s. I think that will change above percentages significantly. That does not mean you will not get in with the current score which is very impressive too.

Your ec’s are awesome.

good luck

kvmpk, thank you for your kind words, the stage really is a second home for me.
did u mean get sat 1s to 1500? because my CR/M is 1450 and my total is 2250.

can anyone tell me if I should apply to hyp or not.

You definitely should.

The thing is, you are not the generic Asian/Indian. You have everything all the other Asian applicants will have, but then you have this fantastic extracurricular, which is theatre. Go on, apply HYP. You WILL get in.

oops, yes i meant sat 1s to CR/M 1500 & overall 2300.

i appreciate the advice kvmpk.
but anyone:
How much will my chances go up by raising my test scores 50 points, thats like getting 1 or 2 questions more right. I would rather focus on other parts of the app, anyone have other thoughts?

bump…

anything more anyone

even though i am out of state what do my chances at UVa and mabye UNC chapel hill look like? I am not a legacy, and I know its really hard to get in out of state, so how am I looking?

These are all just estimations, because I honestly have no idea except for my own opinion and the nature of the schools :

Stanford(probably EA) - Probably have a 50% chance. You have everything they want, but please don’t be offended when I say that you may not get in -because- you are Indian. They, especially the ivy league and elite schools, have quotas to fill, and a very low percentage will be Indian. I had a great friend who was number one in the class, president of nhs, got a 2380 on his SATS and so much more, but was rejected from Princeton, Yale, Harvard and Stanford because he was Indian (So he believed). He was finally accepted into UPenn, and he couldn’t be happier. Although I think it is great that you can write an uplifting story of your struggles and how that has changed you for the better.

U of Chicago - I’d say you have a good chance of getting in here. You’re well-rounded, smart, athletic, and you seem to have a great relationship with your teachers and a great personality to match.

Brown (either PLME or RD) - I don’t know much about Brown except that it’s ivy and that it’s a great school. I think you’d get in here, though.

UC LA, Berkeley, SD - I was looking at Berkeley (LOVE LOVE LOVE California) but my mom said it’s way too far and that everything costs too much money out there :frowning: Anyways, I definitely think you’ll get in.

UVa - University of Virginia? I think that’s what this is. I think you’ll get in.

Georgetown (School of Nursing) - You’ll definitely get in.

UPenn - I live right outside of UPenn, and I can honestly say you have like a 90% of getting in.

Duke- Don’t really know that much about Duke, so all I can say is that you have everything to be a good candidate.

got back my ap scores for junior year

US History-5
Calc BC/AB-5/5
English Lang-5
Physics B-5

does that change anything

bump(10char)

bump… 10 char

please anybody, what i really actually need is advice on whether to retake SAT I or not i mean for like chicago test scores are the bottom of the list on applications but for other places? would taking the act help? need some advice b4 test deadlines arrive. Promise to chance you back!!!

bummmmmmmmppp

bump(10 char)

You are definitely intense! Great SATIIs( although I would also recommend you retake the SATI), and your devotion to the arts and science is clear.

U of Chicago- Match (assuming you rock the essays, which you will)
Brown (either PLME or RD)- low reach
UC LA, Berkeley, SD - Match/Low Reach for Berkely?
UVa- match
Georgetown (School of Nursing)- low match
UPenn- mid/low reach
Duke- low reach

Good luck this year!

thanks samsunimomo,
but is it really necessary for me to retake the SAT I, i feel like my score is solid, if not amazing for the schools, but i do truly believe that there is so much more than just numbers at these schools, so does anybody really believe i should retake it and why that would help?
