So, my chances? And any idea about aid?

What do you want to major in? Some programs are more competitive than others, but overall I would say you should be accepted. If you want to get into the honors program or receive merit aid, however, you should bring up your SATs some. I remember someone saying you need a 1300 M+CR to be considered. Aside from that make sure you keep your grades up in biology and pysch if you want to transfer the credit, as the grade you get in high school counts towards your college GPA. They give you the option to deny the credit so you don’t start out with a poor GPA because of high school, but I’ve heard biology in particular is a boring intro course.

I want to major in history or some form of professional writing program

You do not get a GPA from transfer credit at UCONN. I can tell you this because I am a transfer student this Fall. I’m coming from a community college and I would love to have my GPA buffer my Engineering courses I’m going to be taking at UCONN.

You should be fine for those majors. I was mostly thinking of the pre-meds and special programs in medicine that get pretty competitive.

With regards to transfer credit, if the biology course is a UConn ECE (early college experience) accredited course, your GPA does transfer. If it’s an ECE course you’ll know because you’ll have to sign up for it at the beginning of the year with a $100 fee. I don’t know anything about CC transfers but I do know that your GPA from ECE courses does. If it isn’t try and focus on the exam because you still don’t want to take intro to biology.

My final SAT score is a 1950. (600 reading, 660 math, 690 writing)

Change anything?
