I’m a first generation Chinese American. parents didn’t go to college. i go to a high school known for its rigor. (Lowell High in SF, 3rd best HS in California)

Lowell's dragonboat club is ridiculously good.

UCD, UOP - match
UCSD, UCLA, UCB - slight reach to reach. (The reason I say UCSD is slight reach because of their crazy admission decisions this year). If you bring up your SAT scores to above 2000 you will be in a better position. UC takes the highest scores in one seating. They don't care if it's the first, second or last one.

USC also has pre-pharmacy program.
UCSD, UCSF has pharmacy program. It's very competitive.
UCB has Optometry program.

I think you should be able to get into UCSD

my scores weren't that high and i got in.

so you can see that you sound better overall than me. I'm pretty sure you will get into UCSD since i got in. I think you have a good chance getting into UCLA or Berkeley too.
What will help on your application will be your Personal Statement. Make sure to make it EXTRA good. lol. include the hardships you had to overcome.

Overall, i'm sure you'll get into a great school. =]
Good luck with your applications next year.
