I'm interested in applying to the following schools:
UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, USC
Rice, Emory, Northwestern , Washington University in St. Louis, Cornell

Probably no at UCB, UCLA, and UCSD. UCI is a probable yes. USC is iffy, more of a reach.
Rice, Emory, WUSTL, Cornell, and Northwestern are really big reaches for you, so I would say probably not.

Your SAT is good but the UW GPA is the downfall of the app. Your UC GPA is below the average at UCB, UCLA, and UCSD and with all the competition for those three schools I would say your chances are slim.

As for the non-Californian schools, competition is even more brutal.

My suggestion: look into schools like UMiami, Boston U, etc.

BTW, I would still apply to most of the schools on your list. The competitive nature of your high school is likely why your GPA isn't a 4.0 and they will all recognize that. It is definitely worth a shot, becuase if your HS is as reputable as it sounds like, your shots go way up.
