Chance me at University of Texas (Cockrell School of Engineering) and Northwestern!

<p>I will be graduating class of 2012 so I'm applying right now to Cockrell School of Engineering at UT Austin. I just wanted to start this thread to get to know the people ill be seeing come fall next year hopefully. I also ask for opinions on if you think i will make the cut or not for the school of engineering. Also if i get into Northwestern...i might change to pre-med but im not sure yet...chance me and and ill chance you back? you can post your stuff as a reply too! i live in Houston, TX.</p>

Composite - 31
Math - 34
Science -31
Reading -31
Writing -28
Essay - 24</p>

<p>Im taking the ACT again and expecting a 33.</p>

<p>SAT:
Math - 710
Reading - 610
Writing - 560</p>

<p>Should i take the SAT again or only submit my ACT?</p>

<p>Class Rank: 27/589 last time i checked but i probably dropped to around 32-35/589</p>

<p>GPA:
Weighted - 5.27/6
Unweighted - 3.61/4</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Volunteering at hospital and my mosque since freshman year....
Work as Sports Assistant/referee at local rec center since sophmore year
Clubs like:
National Honor Society
FBLA - State Finalist
HOSA - Treausrer 4 years
MSA - Treasurer 3 years
TSA
and some more.</p>

<p>I just wanna know if i have a pretty good shot at making it or not? i know my SAT scores are low but my ACT score is substantially better and im taking it again and i think i can get a 33. please let me know whats up and any advice is appreciated!</p>

<p>Definately do not submit your SATs, then raise your ACT then we’ll see. If you can keep up your grades and perhaps wait till RD, your chances will def increase. And if you can package yourself well, then you’ll do fine.</p>
