Cockrell Engineering

instate
GPA: 3.6/4.0
Rank: Top 7%
SAT: 1950 (610 R, 670 M, 680M)
ACT: will take Oct. 25 (lets say 30+)

about 6 EC's , 2 leadership positions
300+ volunteer hours

I want to apply right now cuz I know I'll get into the university regardless. BUT I'm taking the ACT soon. Would a good ACT score increase my chances for Engineering significantly ? Should i hold out from applying until i get my ACT score?

HOLY CRAP! If you're in the top 7% with a 3.6, your high school must be epically HARD CORE.

Since you're instate, which is easier, and you have a decent GPA/ Test scores, I think you have a fair shot.

Engineering is very competitive.
I think it requires a SAT Subject test in Mathematics? o_o I'm not sure, I overheard people talking about this.

Are you saying I should i be better ranked?

I'm automatically in the university, but not automatically in engineering
