Chance me at Wake Forest

I am a male from Birmingham, Alabama who attends a challenging, well-known private school.

GPA:
9th: 3.36 out of 4.6 (straight Bs)
10th: 3.66 out of 4.6 (2 As. 4 Bs or B+s)
11th: I have all As so I predict to have around a 4.0 or higher

SAT: 1760 (will be taking it again/ not turning in my scores if they arent good enough)

Rigor of my curriculum:

10th: Took AP European History and received an A-
11th: AP Literature: A- going into final
AP Physics: A- going into final
AP US History: A going into final
Precal
Spanish IV
12th: will be taking AP Stats, AP Spanish, A full year of English, Economics, AP Environmental Science, and Astronomy

Extracurricular activity:

President of a political club at my school that focuses on community service projects
Varsity Basketball team captain (played since 10th grade)
Varsity Soccer team member (started playing this year)
Summer job....ect....

My GPA isnt what I wish it would be but I chose to take many AP courses rather than honors and I know Wake will definitely take that into consideration, but where do I stand on admissions into Wake?

I would say its going to be a reach, but it is for everyone (including me). Best of luck though! Keep up the progress on your GPA and study hard for those SAT’s

bump

any comments would be greatly appreciated…

I also agree that it’s a reach, but like AHN said, it’s a reach for a lot of people. However, I would definitely encourage you to try and raise your SAT - and maybe try taking the ACT? People usually tend to do better on one or the other. I believe Wake is test-optional (although I could be wrong here), but I think it will help if you can get your scores up a little higher.

Also, what was your score on the AP Euro exam?

I did not take the AP exam for European history because I was in the basketball state tournament the week before and I did not have time to prepare myself for it.

I will chance back!!
