I recently tripped south and saw wake forest and fell in love with the place. im a white male who is a junior. i go to a very prestigious northeast private school, so while my test scores will in all liklihood continue to be very high, my gpa does not match them all that well. some information about me.
3 sport athelete, amassing 3 varisty letters so far, will amass a minimum of 5 by the time i graduate, a max of 7.
Total GPA thus far, counting junior year grades is a 2.9. however there is a big upswing so far in my junior year from sophomore and freshman year.

As far as extracurriculars go, I am a contributing member to the Model United Nations executive committee at my school, as elected by my peers. also, i have been a school tourguide for the past 4 years. I sing in the choir and glee club, and have since my freshman year.
During the summer I am a camp counselor for a YMCA camp in the adirondacks.
So my question to you, with Wake being my top school at the moment, having visited 4 or 5 different schools. how much must i improve to give myself a chance and or how much am i on track to get in?

no thoughts atall?

have you taken the SATs yet? do you have any particular reason for getting the 2.9? like family problems, or something of that sort?

Realistically, you are not on track to get in unless, as scrivener said, you have some explanation for that GPA. An upward trend in GPA would absolutely help your case, so keep improving and continuing on that upswing!
