hmm. anyone please, this whole process is new to my family and my college counselor at school is an absolute joke recommending me to Eckerd college and Albertson which i believe are underselling my capabilities!

BUMP this post… any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Bump - how would my chances look at schools such as Amherst, Williams, Davidson, Swarthmore, and the sort?

thanks everyone

A lot better than Yale for sure. Don’t try to impress your family members at one school, there are SO MANY schools that one could apply to and be very happy with. Don’t be fixated on Yale, which is a reach for almost anyone, especially you (sorry if I made that sound bad.)

Matt NC, no worries. i understand… i just wnt to make them proud since they have given up alot in order for me to go to college. i posted another thread up with essentially the same information, yet a little more concise and clear.

if you need me to i will chance you as well

It’s ok, I’m only a sophomore, who’s in no need of chancing, I know where I stand, and I’m not satisfied. LoL. Thanks for understanding.

haha no worries brother, i just want people’s objective opinions, i remember sophomore year. minimal stress… you get to junior year = go time… try to enjoy the time you have left, cuz junior year hits you hard.

good luck man, take it easy

Yale-Reach

Good Luck!

you should take Math II not Math I
don’t try to take the easy way and get a high score
Yale will definitely not like that

yale is a reach…

especially with your courseload. having 5 aps will help but a lot of the people that get in have a lot more.
personally i dont think i will get into yale and by the time i graduate i will have taken 13 ap class and 3 college in high school and so far i have straight A’s
