Chance me Boston College?

I’m a senior and wondering my chances for Boston College.
GPA UW: 4.0 / Weighted: 4.45
Looking to apply to the college of arts and sciences as political science
APs taken/taking = Physics 1, US Gov, Psych, Calc AB, French, English, Econ, Environmental Science
I have been in all honors and APs since my junior year, but my freshmen and sophomore year I was only in honors math and history
ACT: 32/ 33 superscore (35 math, 34 reading, 32 science, 29 math)
Legacy: Both parents graduated B.A., Mom also got masters of education from BC
ECs:

  • Lacrosse 4 years
  • 2 year Editor of school newspaper
  • Tutor/volunteer at an underprivileged school
  • President for Students Advocating for Equity and helped organize walkout and demonstrations
  • Student Council for 4 years, Junior Class VP, Senior Leadership board
  • NHS
  • first in state for speech competition

My school has a lot of people to apply to BC (around 40 last year and 9 got accepted)

I also got a 3 on my physics, gov, and English AP so I’m not sure whether to report them on the common app?

I would not report 3’s on your app. They will be of no help. (one 3 won’t hurt, but 3 of them doesn’t look good unless you attend an inner city low income public school.) Other numbers are fine.

BC connection can be a small plus, but then your essay should reflect your knowledge of a Jesuit education and how/what you bring fits into that education.

Good luck.

I’ve heard that I should report 3s so that they know I didn’t get a 1 or 2?

I would ED for sure.

No one knows exactly how it will all come together this year. I have read they intend to take a large swath Ed 1 and Ed 2 under the new program this year.

RD is going to really really competitive imho.

You have a great profile. Congrats and good luck.
