Chance Me! CC Political Science Transfer

Hello! I am currently a sophomore at a local Illinois CC and was looking to find out what my chances are to get into the following schools; NYU, Boston University, University of Southern California, Cornell (a reach school), Georgetown, and UCSD & UCSB. I know the list is pretty long, but I have those in mind as my top schools. I am mostly looking to see if I am competitive for NYU, but here are my stats.

First Generation College Student
HS GPA: 2.0, was in a tough situation
College GPA: 4.0 w/ 45 Credits
SAT: Not submitting
ECs:
Senator in Student Government
Head of Scholarship committee
Head of Curriculum Council
Member of Phi Theta Kappa
part of competitive local Leadership Program

I feel like my high school performance may lower my chances of getting into these schools, but are there any other schools that I could also apply to that are great for Political Science? Thank you guys so much!

UCSD and UCSB require a minimum 60 semester units by end of Spring for transfer. HS grades/GPA not considered only what you have accomplished post HS graduation.

As an out of state applicant, you realize that the UC’s offer little to no financial aid and you should expect to pay $65K/year to attend?

Also, OOS transfers have the lowest priority in transferring to the UC’s. The hierarchy goes as follows: CA CC transfers, UC to UC transfers, CSU to UC transfers, CA Private University transfers and finally OOS transfers.

Your GPA makes your competitive but make sure you have all the course requirements for each UC completed by spring.

Best of luck and congratulations on turning things around with your academics at your CC.
