@ivydreamer123 About the same as mine if it makes you feel better.

@ivydreamer2021 Have you read the ED Results thread? It gives a good sampling of what stats people had who did (and didn’t) get in. All in all you have a very solid profile and a good shot at getting in. Your biggest weakness is the fact you didn’t apply ED and now you have to compete with 40,000 other applicants instead of just 5,000. You ECs are good and your research at a hospital is a good hook. It sounds like you wrote your supplemental to demonstrate your fit with Cornell and that’s a good approach. Income, nationality and gender are all pretty neutral - won’t hurt or help you. Cornell or any of the Ivies are hard to predict. At the very least I think you have a 50/50 chance based on people admitted with similar stats - including me (accepted ED to CoE). Good luck.

@ivydreamer2021 your stats seem pretty solid. I know this thread hasn’t been used in a while but I am also applying to CALS so thought I would check it out. I’m from CT too and also indian but my sat score isn’t as good as yours so I definitely think you got a chance! My extracurriculurs are pretty solid though same with my GPA. We’ll see what happens!

Thanks @tbh1234. What are ur stats?

1380 on the sat, weighted gpa is 3.96 (our schools weight system is a bit different, my gpa puts me in top 20 of my class), I have a lot of extra curriculurs where I’ve won awards and gone to national competitions, I applied as an information science major. @ivydreamer2021 my sat score is a little low but I worked real hard on the supplement essay

I just submitted ACT and SAT subject tests. Which town in CT are you from?

@tbh1234 ^

Can other fellow CC’ers also give me an estimate on my chances? Decisions come out in 8 days…

If you don’t get in, Ill give you $100.

@CornellAEMplease So you think I will get in?

@STEMorNothing21 My school doesn’t offer IB classes.

Anyone else got an estimate on my chances?

Seriously lol…if you dont get in…id be shocked.

Less than 24 hours to go!!! Any last minute predictions fellow CC’ers?

Did any of you get accepted?

You all sound amazing on paper and I’m sure Cornell would be enriched with your attendance but with over 40,000 students applying RD, they all will have amazing stats as well. I hope it works out for you, but just know you will end up where you’re supposed to be!
