<p>Hey, Im a rising senior this fall, and wanting to apply ED for class of 2013 Penn and RD for the rest of the schools listed</p>

<p>Speaking of stats...</p>

<p>Ethnicity: Asian
GPA: 3.82 (so far until junior year)/ 4.00 scale
SAT: 2080 for the latest one. (650 cr, 720 wr, 710 m)
-currently preparing to improve it up to a 2200+
SAT IIs: Chemistry - 800
Math IIC - 800</p>

<p>Class Rank: (not so sure about this...) My school just changed its gpa ranking system to a GRADE PERCENT AVERAGE...By calculation my average is
(95/100) so far.. Class Rank is...10~15th out of 85 in my class</p>

<p>APs: (total 9)
Micro - 4 (self-study)
Macro - 4 (self study)
Chemistry- 5
Calc AB - 5
Lang and Comp - 4
Stats- to be taken
Calc BC- to be taken
Psychology- to be taken
European History- to be taken</p>

<p>E/C: Founder/ President of Pep band
Student Council Representative (2 years)
First Trombonist in Jazz Band ( 6 years)
Model UN (delegate)
Journalism (School Newspaper) (copy editor + reporter)</p>

<p>Personal E/C:
-Community Service at a dental clinic (9~12)
-Joint research with at one of the top Korean universities on dental + genetics (most likely 2nd-authoer) (mentored by genetics professor) (11,12)
-researching the relationship between genes and oligodontia (missing teeth from birth)
-Worked as lab assistant at one of the top Korean universities in microbiology (9,10,11)</p>

<p>This is just a brief highlight thing..so yeah i'd appreciate both positive and negative feedback</p>

<p>Your SAT will need to come up for a few of these places (Penn, Duke, etc), but the research you've done should help you quite a bit; it sounds remarkable. Your class rank isn't terrible, but it's not outstanding, either; is that 3.82 GPA weighted or unweighted? Your APs are great, assuming you keep up the trend of 4s and 5s. The self-study is impressive; be sure to mention it in interviews! I'd say you're probably in at U of Illinois and possibly one or both of the Boston schools and have a decent shot at Wash U and U of Michigan. U Chicago, Penn, and Duke are probably more reaches for you, and the other schools I don't know enough about to guess your chances.</p>
