I got deferred from Northeastern (live in MA & apparently that’s what they do to MA EAs), hearing back from CC tomorrow & hopefully UChicago on Tuesday, don’t know when CU Boulder is
What do y’all think about my list? My guidance counselor is super optimistic but after getting deferred I feel like I need to add at least one definite.

Also, I’m writing a senior capstone type paper on deforestation in South America & I wasn’t sure if I could submit that for a research abstract or as additional information in case of more deferments. Is that a no go?

Okay, so a lot of your schools are reaches. You definitely need to add some more schools that you have a better chance getting into and definitely need a safety or two. Things like Bowdoin, Columbia, Tufts, Conn College, BU, Swarthmore, Northeastern, and UChigago are all very competitive schools and are not easy for people to get into even with the most stellar stats.

Also, what do you mean national swim team member 3-10? Do you mean that you swam for USA Swimming? Because the national team and USA swimming are very different lol. Regardless, you have some interesting extracurriculars in there.
