Chance me! Duke, Rice, Cornell, UGA, UF, and FSU

Hey! ENGINEERING STUDENT? I am Student Body President in my school after being class president my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I do lots of activities and volunteer a bunch with SGA. I have been on the Varsity tennis team at my school since freshman year and I am now ranked #1 on the team, along with captain for my junior and senior years. I have done Mock Trial since my sophomore year and I have won Best Witness in the Region my junior year and Best Witness in the state sophomore and junior years. I am an AP Scholar with Honor because I have taken 5 AP exams. I got 3’s on Biology, US Gov, US History, and Language+Comp. The only AP exam I have gotten a 5 on was AP Calculus AB. I am top 15% of my class and my weighted GPA is a 4.500 and unweighted GPA is a 3.762. I participated in Boys State and was elected to Lt. Governor, Senator, County Commissioner, and Mayor. I also have participated in a number of Honor Societies including NHS, NEHS, Rho Kappa, and Latin Honor Society. I have over 300 volunteer hours serving as a coordinator with Salvation Army, raising money to get underprivileged students laptops, and tutoring math. I have had 3 jobs but most importantly I have taught every math subject I have taken (up to AP Calc AB) along with tutoring for the SAT, ACT, and EOCs for other courses. I have a 32 composite for the ACT but my superstore is a 34. Math-35, Science-34, Reading-33, English-32

Thank y’all!

EDIT- I’m white and I am upper class and a male student

Maybe Cornell and the state schools you list. It really depends on how you present yourself in your personal statement. How did you choose the schools you want to apply to, and have you considered applying to other top schools (for both academics and other things?).

Hey! Thanks for commenting. My personal essay right now is about me winning a bunch of stuff and then losing something massive and really waking up. I may change it to something more personal. Also, I chose those schools based on a variety of things including location, who I know is going, dorm rooms, quality of education, and how nice people are there. Where else would you suggest for me? Im open to everything supernovacoach
