Sorry for the crappy thread layout, and thanks for your time.

@eatpeasplease no, I’m not from Beijing.
As of right now, with the end of my first quarter:
Quarter GPA: 4.111
UW Quarter GPA: 3.611
Essay: my guidance counselor asked if he could use it as an example in our junior guidance handbook (basically its a guide to applying to college) So I’m gonna assume its really good.
Recs: One really strong from a Comp Sci teacher
Other from a Calc AP teacher. Probably isn’t as strong.
I’d really appreciate it if I could get some additional opinions.

Ok…you have many SAT2 which is really good, shows admission office ur’re good at math and science
It probably might go against you the fact that you live so close to BC (that’s just my opinion)
You have enough clubs, just a little short in leadership
SAT 1980 is a little bit risky, but if it’s ur first time, I think it’s pretty good
And your grades are increasing, which will tell them you are getting better and more committed to your studies
Overall, you just need a higher SAT score for now
And it also depends on the school you’re applying to

Northeastern doesn’t require SAT 2 scores, and it’s not even clear if they consider them. I’m unclear on what your UW GPA actually is overall, since you mention 3.3, 3.5, and 3.611. 3.3 overall is on the low side and could be problematic. It seems like you have a challenging courseload and good ECs. The only thing you can do at this point is work on the test scores. Have you tried the ACT? Sometimes that goes better than the SAT.
