<p>Being an Asian male never helps…but at least you are from New Hampshire! Good test scores! Good stats! Decent EC’s! You have a chance! Good luck!

<p>Your EC’s and awards are sick. Your scores/GPA are within range. But you are hurt tremendously by living in NH/being asian. I would still predict an acceptance letter though.</p>

<p>Ivies are saturated with people from New England who are also Asian males. He would be a lot better off being white and living in Wyoming, ECs aside. That being said, New England seems to have thousands of ways for people to become ‘top students’, making it even harder for people to stand out.</p>
<p>That being said, I would say that your chances are fairly good Username13, at this point, I would suggest making sure that your essays do not focus on your ECs or academics whatsoever, and instead on whatever makes you unique outside of those areas.</p>
<p>Thanks for the feedback… I understand the absurd amount of asian males applying to Ivies in new england, but I don’t think there are a lot from New Hampshire, except for the private school kids from PEA? Also, New Hampshire is pretty much farmland so i’m sure there is a sharp contrast between it and Mass. in the availability of opportunities, yes?</p>
<p>I honestly don’t know anything about NH besides that it is in New England, so I have nothing else to add. Also, I would almost guess you wouldn’t have to worry about PEA too much, because I have a feeling graduates from there would tend towards old money schools, for instance, Harvard and Princeton. As far as I can tell, that type of social hierarchy isn’t as embedded in Dartmouth, and the other Ivies for that matter.</p>
