<p>So my story is basically that my GPA is kind of low, my school says its a 3.6 weighted but, when I calculated in online it said it was an unweighted 3.7 (?). So i'm a little confused. My ACT scores aren't the best either because I did bad on math and science.
ACT Composite - 26
Math - 24
English - 29
Reading 30
Science - 22 </p>

<p>However I have really amazing essays. I'm a very good writer and every guidance counselor/reader that read my essay/supplement said that they were the best they've ever read or one of the top essays they've ever seen. I also have amazing EC's (and i'm being honest they are really amazing) because I participiated in a lot of events (including Track and Soccer) where I was very successful and won many awards. Do I have any chance at getting in? I applied early decision in hopes that it would help my chances.
I know my scores and GPA arent that good but I took very challenging courses so hopefully they will understand my lower GPA. </p>

<p>honestly, your low scores and gpa weigh down your application a ton. challenging courses are no excuse for a low gpa considering everyone applying to emory takes challenging courses, and the top applicants, of course, have high gpas. even if your essays are outstanding, grades are the most important. i’m not saying you don’t have a shot, i’m just saying that acceptance is unlikely. no harm in trying, though. sorry if this was harsh - just trying to be honest!</p>

<p>You have a chance. You applied early so there’s nothing more that you can do. Just wait and hope for the best!</p>
