<p>I'm a high school junior trying to whittle down the amount of colleges I will be applying to soon.
My stats:</p>
<p>Gender: Female
State: AL</p>
<p>ACT: 33C
30M
35S
34R
33E
writing: 8 :(</p>
<p>GPA: (This is from sophomore year, but it should go up seeing how I have had all As this year) 3.92</p>
<p>I have been on the Headmaster's List/Honor Roll (all A's/more As than Bs) for all of high school so far.
I attend the best school in my area. It is a private college preparatory institute.
However, my school doesn't offer many AP classes, and you can't take AP classes until 11th grade.
Math and english classes are the only courses that offer honors throughout high school, while science, history, and foreign languages only offer honors in the last year or two.
Also, we are not allowed to dual enroll because of our scheduling system.
I am on track to have these credits: 5 maths (all H/AP), 4 sciences (1 AP/1 H), 3 histories, 3 foreign language (1 H), 4 english (all H/AP), and 4 art (H)</p>
<p>EC/Community Service:
Soccer 1 yr (Co-Captain), Cross Country (2nd in the region), National Honor Society, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Computer Club (I will run for office next year), French Club (Secretary), Equestrian Club (Vice President), Art Club, and Yearbook
I was one of the 44 juniors in my city/county to be selected to be a part of Youth-Leadership.
I also am a Explorer for my city's Fire Department to help with leadership experience.
I have worked for a company that builds and manages low-income apartment complexes for approximately 2 years.
I volunteer for my city's Fire Department and Runners' Club. (My school requires 10+ service hours a year)</p>
<p>I am planning on applying to Georgia Tech, Emory, Vanderbilt, Duke, Sewanee, University of Chicago, and MIT as mainly reach with some matches. (don't worry I realize how "out-there" some are)
My safeties are mainly state schools.</p>
<p>I believe I will have pretty good recommendations, but I am worried about the essay part.</p>
<p>So, what are my chances for the reaches/matches? (I really love GT, but as an out of state student I'm not sure if I would be able to receive a good scholarship.) </p>
