bump

i know its a lot to read

rank is great. scores are great. ec’s are great. all of those schools are extremely competitive, but you have as good of a chance as just about anybody.

bump…

anyone
bump

hmm i say rejected from all of the above sorry better luck next time =P

Hmmm, I say, those schools like honest people.

bump…

bump…

Will probably retake ACT because one program I am applying is almost solely based on score so I think I will end up with a 35.

Anyone,
I will chance BAck

anyone…

I would suggest aiming for 2250+ on SAT - and if you describe your interesting ECs in your essays, you’d definitely stand out to me. Good shot.

Yeah, I will study for the October one and hopefully my superscore will be above 2300, I got 610 on CR so I definitely have room for improvement. (790 math and 760 writing)
And all these organizations are loosely under one mother organization and I know the Executive chairman and he will definitely write me a good rec.

i think you’ve got a great shot, but as we all know, those ivies are toss ups for almost everyone. we all think we’ve got great scores but most of the time they just arent good enough. if you put in some solid work on your essays that show hard work with all the muslim groups but also show that you are willing to work towards compromise with jews (i am one of them and agree with you completely, all of this is getting out of hand) then i think you have a decent shot.

btw, your ACT is like stellar, you really don’t need to retake it. you can only go so high in the 99th percentile ya know…

Hey! Your test scores are very good, but not exceptional. This is fine as I mentioned in my thread. Raising you SAT score is probably a good idea, although it will not kill you at its current point. Regarding the ACT, this is a very strong score and you have no need to retake it for admissions, but power to you if you need an improved score for a very competitive program.

Overall, you are a very strong applicant. You seem to have strong leadership and mind for the community. Because of your work with Palestine, I think this will give you a huge push because very few others do the same - especially as you said this was your main focus - make sure it is mentioned in your recs and your essay. In addition to this, your other activities and leadership will round out a strong application.

Still remember that 93% of people are rejected. You have a very good shot at all your schools. I would say very likely at Duke, most likely at Upenn, and possibly at HYS for the sole reason that there are thousands of other applicants who are strong as well.

Yeah, the ACT thing is for UIC GPPA- Medicine
This program is getting more and more competitive and more students with 35s and 36s are applying and a few years ago if you had a 34 your chances of getting in were greater than not but the last few years that completely changed as now to be guaranteed acceptance you would need a 35.

And about the Peace in the Middle East, the organization I work with, AMP, champions that idea.
